A long lost whale finally obtained, oh thank you oh so much, Drew!
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy but mostly transparent soft golden color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated gently. Leaves a messy lacing all around.
The smell had a lush sweet citrus hops up front allowing a delicate sweet malt underneath.
The taste was fully bittersweet with an added sweet grassy sweetness roaming underneath. Light sticky citrus aftertaste. Semi-dry sweet citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a solid sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good allowing a nice bitterness to hit appropriately.
Overall, whale slain, and totally worthy of having again, a top notch AIPA that I know I would have again if I could ever get my hands on again.

Sample at the High Gravity Hullabaloo on 02/06/2016. Brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of malt, caramel and fruit. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
