Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is sweet brown malt, dried fruits, figs, alcohol, caramel, oak, a touch of red wine, with a hint of chocolate. Flavour is sweet and a little boozy. Above medium body with no carbonation. The Madeira barrel improves upon a fairly mediocre base beer.

Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is malt, ripe orange, yeast, touch of caramel, some spicy/herbal notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to mild bitter. Medium body. Sweet, malt, bit hoppy, lacks the refreshing dryness of a good Saison.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is fruity and grassy with blood orange, bready grain, some hop. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter with a little tartness. Medium body. Crisp and bitter with plenty of blood orange.
