Uh oh, this smells pretty "beany". Like old, overly roasty coffee beans mixed with wet cardboard. Wouldn't guess rum barrel, nor really much barrel of any type. Some alcohol with a bit of chocolate and light glue. Not very inviting...
Finally a touch of rum spice and brown sugar on the very end, with warming/breathing.
Woah, what the hell is this.....it's like...malted milk balls and creamy, intense, sweetened heavy cream or condensed milk. Think they used enough lactose??! Not quite syrupy-sweet, but very sweet and soft and sugary/creamy. Intense lactose character with huge sweet cream. Light caramel and light chocolate mixing with an afterthought of alcohol and barrel. Some light, stale coffee bean and wet cardboard at the very end. Maybe a bit of coconut rum. Whatever the case, it's much too sweet and needs more barrel spice/warmth/dryness. Can only drink a few sips before the intense half-and-half/condense milk begins to massively cloy.

Brewery draught, 11/29/25, as pictured.
Smells more round and malty than their 1st anniversary stout, with better bourbon presence and less overt alcohol. Still a very malty, sweet, chocolatey character with lots of caramel and mild fruit.
Dark chocolate and low roast with moderate bourbon and a fair bit of malt sweetness. Maybe a bit too sweet overall, but some acidity to balance. Light, spicy, acidic bourbon with caramel, chocolate and vanilla lingering. Light but not sharp alcohol.

Light yeast and a hint of tropical fruit. Bread and cracker behind it. Low aroma strength.
Low flavor as well, with no sugar and lower malt character and bitterness. Very indistinguishable hop character. Some citrus juice (light) and mostly biscuity, bland malt.

Brewery draught, 11/29/25, as pictured.
Soft and biscuity with light citrus and a hint of tropical fruit. Not overly hoppy or aromatic.
Similar in the flavor. Reasonable texture with biscuit and cracker and low sweetness. Very light bitterness with mild citrus and tropical fruit. Not much distinct character from hop. Clean and drinkable but very low in flavor.

Apple and well-rounded spice with big malts to back it.
Spice not overdone. Very malty with a fruity, juicy apple character. No alcohol noted.

Nose is kind of coffee-ish to start, even though there's no coffee in this. I guess it would turn out to be roast, alcohol and barrel mixing together, which are all present in light to moderate amounts here.
Its malty so I'm happy, though there's somewhat prevalent alcohol, maybe a touch too much sweetness overall, and low barrel character. But it's an admirable start for the brewery's first anniversary.

Peachy and tart. But seems to have a decent malt backing. The peach is well-done, floral and lightly juicy. Not too acidic.
Peach really well done in the flavor with floral notes and lingering juiciness. Soft, slightly bready malt with good attenuation but not too dry. Lingering peach and malt give good flavor and balance.

Slightly tart, nice very flavor. Very balanced and doesn’t overpower the beer character. Great fruited lager.

Not sure cherry vanilla is the best flavor profile for a milkshake, they really clash with the hops IMO. Strangely get a cooked celery aftertaste.
