Description
The Paul Coïc cider house is located in the heart of 4 hectares of orchards in Plonéis, Finistère. Paul Coïc took over the family business in 1998, which was then a dairy farm, and planted 1,600 apple trees. In 2003, the first batch of cider and apple juice was produced, and a direct sales shop was opened.

75cl bottle from the producer. Unclear slightly cloudy gold, some brief foam atop. Exceptional crisp sharp clarity of flavour with soft tannin providing a farmhouse fuzz. Great cider. I do like this producer.

75cl bottle from the producer shop. Pours gold with a fine mist and short-lasting white foam. Crunchy fruit with a light bitter tickle seems to be the order of the day, good full fruit profile, nice clarity, cracking demi-sec overall.

75cl bottle from Paul Coic. Pours a misty gold, medium carbonation. Farmyard air on the nose, dusty tannin, fleshy fruit, no caramelisation.. really enjoyable.
