(can, brewed by Frankfurter Brauhaus, 5.0% abv) Cloudy, orange-golden colour with a big and minimally off-white foamy head. Yeasty, fruit-accented aroma with notes of overripe fruits, apricots, banana, accompanied by wheat malt and mildly phenolic spices and a tinge of glue. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a tame carbonation. Slim malty and wheaty base with moderately fruity accents, leading into a slim and short finish with slightly fruity notes and traces of caramel. 25.XI.14

Jun ’14. 0.5 l can from a local Kaufland store. It poured pale golden body with medium sized head. Hay and lemon aroma, lightly sour touch. Flavor was also hay/grainy with less pronounced lemony notes, a bit sweet and more so towards the end. Thinner to medium in body with moderately long, sweetish honey and hay finish. A touch of yeast felt here. Well, a typical pale lager, nothing to frown upon and nothing here to praise about either.

0.5 l bottle from Kaufland. It poured yellow body, paler than other gold beers. Medium sized head. Lemony and somewhat grainy aroma, weaker. Sweetish malty, just slightly acidic corny but with some nice herbal hop bitterness. Pretty balanced brew, medium bodied with fine sweetish bready finish. Like the other Ambrosius in Croatian Kaufland, this is also very good supermarket pale lager.
