(bottle) Hazy, dark brown colour with a thick and stable beige foamy head. Light-sweet, strong dark malty, roasty aroma with cacao/chocolate and a pleasant herbal hops presence. Mainly bitter, slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a mild carbonation. Toast-malty, slightly roasted taste with chocolate and light notes of caramel; aromatic, dry, malt-accented finish with roasted barley, a herbal hoppy bite and a lasting aftertaste with chocolate. Well-crafted, moreish Dunkel. Normally I don´t go into details concerning bottle labels, but this one is really mentionable and old-fashioned (probably 1930ties design), showing the silhouette of a fierce looking robber-knight, Heinrich von Guttenstein, who gave the brew its name.
