Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this bottle. Gusher! The beer starts quite boring. No depth, hints of grain, no bitterness. Where are the hops in the Hopfenkönig?? Neutral watery grainy aftertaste with nearly no bitterness or hops at all! Sad!

Bügelverschlußflasche (otto: ogottogott):Hazy, golden, small and stable loose white head; dryish grainy nose, some maybe lemony hops from far behind; mild dryish bitter flavour, pretty light bodied, not pretty soft; slightly lingering lemony-hoppy finish. Great! What would YOU expect from a beer called "Hopfenzupfer"(hop-picker). Surely a quite bland Lager like this...

(swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, when completely poured with hop particles, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Doughy pale malt character with notes of white bread, as well as flowery and delicately citric hops. Mildly sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm, if not a bit tame carbonation. Pale malty, slightly mineralic taste with hints of sour dough and notes of floal and citric hops; delicately hop bitter finish. Not what you expect from a beer from the Hallertau area which calls itself Hopfenzupfer. 04.VI.16

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy murky yellow color, small white head. Aroma has some weird fruityness to it with some hay. Taste is also a bit weird, I get a weird fruityness again, lightly cardboard and hayish. Low to medium body, soft carbonation. Don’t really like it.
