The brewery was founded in 1854 by Otto Baumgarten. In 1893 it became an open partnership company. Since 1970 37% of the shares are owned by the Dortmunder Actien-Brauerei (part of the Radeberger Group). In 1979 the renaming of Baumgartens Allersheim Brauerei to its current name Allersheim Brauerei took place.

0,33 l bottle from Getränke Quelle, Bad Münder. Clear golden in the glass, more than one finger white head, lively carbonation. Grassy grainy smell with some citrus. Taste starts with a grainy bitterness, some citrus. Increasing dry malt bitterness and straw in the second part. Thin texture and a little bit cardboardy.

Bottle. Clear red/brown with a huge white head. Aroma of roasted malts, bread, metal and some earthy hops. Taste of (roasted) malts, dark bread. caramel, a little bit of toffee and a tiny hint of chocolate. A subtle sweet note and grainy bitterness. Medium carbonation. Watery. Just ok. Listing „Röstmalzbier“ as an ingredient seems kinda odd...

Allersheimer 1854, Fläschchen von BierSelect.de. - Schön trübes Goldgelb; üppiger sahniger Schaum. - In der Nase weich brotiges, mild süßliches helles Malz und blasse süßlich-zitrusfruchtig Hopfennoten. - Antrunk hefig weich getreidig-hellmalzig mit schwach brotiger Malzsüße. Nur äußerst dezente, mild zitronige Hopfenherbe; das Bier wirkt dadurch etwas limonadig. Gut rezent, ein wenig dünn. Im Abgang schwache, leicht ranzige Hopfenextrakt-Bittere. - Harmloses, langweiliges Bierchen, das auf der Nostalgiewelle dahergeschwommen kommt.
