Description
Since the launch of Somersby in 2008, we like to think we have taken the world by storm. We went from 1 to over 50 markets in less than 10 years, and despite our short history, have become the biggest international cider brand in the universe.

can, 33cl. appears clear light yellow, small head that quickly disappears. apple aroma, no alc. flavor is apple juice, but you can sense the alc somewhere. alc. well hidden. flavor is sweet "mature" apples. my first cider rating, prior to now i’ve mostly tasted low alc. cider. basically and overall it tastes like sweet apple juice, with soda, and a hint of alc. looking forward to more ciders to enhance my sense of diversity.

Medium coarse unstable white head quickly disappears altogether. Very pale yellow body with light carbonation. Sugary apple aroma with alcohol notes, quite clean. Sweet apple taste with metallic chemical notes. Much too sweet. Sweet mealy artificial apple taste lingers. Gah. (0.5l can.)

Big white coarse unstable head quickly disappears entirely. Very pale yellow body with carbonation. Sugary apple aroma, somewhat artificial, but relatively clean. Very sweet artificial apple taste. Palate is sickly sweet. This is just way too sweet. Really a soft drink diluted with apple wine. Yuck. (0.5l can.)

Can. A pale yellow pour with lots of carbonation resulting in a small white head, but it disappears almost before it settles. The aroma feels a bit artificial, and is more pear-like than apple-like. Sugary impression, and a touch of alcohol in the far back. The flavor is also artificial and sugary sweet, and the fruit is a blend of canned pears and low-flavor yellow apples. Even though there’s 50% less calories in this lite version, it feels sticky in the mouth, but it doesn’t leave your teeth wooly. There’s some astringent sourness, but not much, and the finish is much like the initial flavor, but lower on the sugar. Yet another cider that lacks most of what’s good about cider. (080814)

Can @ home.Clear light to medium yellow color with a small, virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate apple, apple rubbish. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. (Syntetich apple sweet). Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (110508)

Can. It pours a very sparkling clear, pale yellow body, with the carbonation almost stopping after a few seconds. No sign of a head. Apples, a touch of yeast, loads of sugar and with a general artificial impression. Quite thin in the mouth, effervescent, and sticky sugary, leaving a thin layer of coating on your teeth. Apples, some yeast, white sugar and a little citric note in the flavor. Apples and sugar in the finish. Even though it’s this sweet and sticky, it still has some palate-cleansing qualities, guess that’s the apple-wine, but I’ll have a real cider instead of this one anytime. Didn’t finish the can. Maybe I rated it too high, but who cares. (080624)
