Slightly hazy chestnut colour with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel and green pepper, with a hint of diacetyl. Sweet caramel malty flavour with some brown sugar and licorice, a mild chili note and a sneaking spicy heat in the finish

Würzig dunkler Antrunk, geringe Holznoten. Intensiver im Mittelteil, die Einflüsse des Cognac sind deutlich erkennbar. Leicht alkoholisch, passend, wenig brotig. Rundes würziges Bier mit gelungenem Cognac Anteil. 8/9/10/10/7/10

33 cl bottle from Doorstep Brew. BB May 2013, sampled on January 8, 2013.Clear brown color, medium sized tan to light brown head. Sweet, malty, sugary, figs, fruity scent, some alcohol. Sweet, sugary, raisin, malty, alcohol taste. Candid sugar aftertaste. Some warming alcohol. Smooth mouthfeel, low bitterness. Hints of alcohol bite. Mineral tongue feeling.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium amber yellow colour with a small, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, grain, hay, damp stain - fusty, light vegetables. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, thin, watery, grass - hay, malty. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20120919]

Bottled, thanks fonefan! Hazy amber, rich head. Piney buttery nose. Sweetish with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel, Spun sugar, butter and grapefruit, some Earl Grey tea in a long bitter finish. Not your typical IPA, for good and bad.
