Canned 500ml. -from Spar Krško. Darker brownish coloured, medium sized brown head (looks like proper dunkel), lemon and cardboard in the nose. Lemon, cardboard, strong burnt caramel and rather sweet finish. Hardly drinkable nor enjoyable.

Enjoyed directly from the can. Pale malt, Saaz hop. Light sweet. light to medium bitterness. Watery palate still somehow quenching.

50 cl bottle bought at Tesco, Bratislava. Just one more Pilsner tried at New Year’s Eve. Just like all Steiger beers it looks like they used water drained from a swamp to brew this beer.

0,5 bottle. Light amber beer in a not very pretty bottle, with normal, then completely disappearing head when pouring. Aroma: like any Pilsen ten-starch beer - harmonious malt-hop mixture, mainly with basic bitter hop dominance. Body is okay, good "bready", "lactating" beer, carbonation is dense, but okay. The hopiness is not outstanding, despite the fact that it is extra hopped. Taste is similar to a Pisen-Urquell, the bitterness is also, only the beer is a little more malty and sweeter. Not bad otherwise!
***

500 ml can from Billa, Bratislava, Slovakia. Pours a clear gold color with a small white head and decent retention. No lacing. Standard pale malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Standard pale malt flavor with only a hint of pilsner malt. Overall, a pretty basic Euro lager. Medium-light body. Lower than expected carbonation. Not bitter. Okay.

0.5 l can. Average industrial pale lager. Have had many worse but it’s the only positive thing that can be said about it.

0.5 l bottle. Black color, thin beige head. Sweet malts, coffee and chocolate in aroma and tase. Oily texture, medium bodied, softly carbonated. Short sweet finish. Decent dunkel.
