Description
With a historical and geographical background, Kunimori was born in Handa on the Chita Peninsula in 1844. Later, the sake was named Kunimori, with the hope that "the country would prosper, and with it, our sake would flourish." As the era of civilization and enlightenment began, the Kunimori name also flourished. In 1990, the company name was changed to Nakano Sake Brewery, aiming to further pursue sake brewing and grow the company. And now, we are reexamining the original idea of Kunimori, "Wishing for the prosperity of the country, and with that, the prosperity of our sake," and have begun to take action, hoping to contribute more than ever to creating a prosperous society through sake brewing and other activities. In this age of material abundance, it is our wish that Nakano Sake Brewery's unique products will bring you a sense of spiritual richness. To that end, we are actively taking on new challenges, including the introduction of new technologies, with the aim of creating even more one-of-a-kind products.

Sampled at Hopscotch 2023, pours a clear water colour. Aroma has notes of anise, liquorice root and booze. Flavour is strong on the liquorice root, with booze and a touch of lychee. Nice liquorice root character but booze. Decent.

Drank cold. The consistency of the liquid is clear and transparent. The color is straw yellow. Olfactory intensity is normal and the continuity is sufficient. The taste on the nose - dominant aroma is of malted rice Koji. The taste on the nose - secondary aromas include peach, white mushrooms and spices for a delicate and fruity aroma. The first impression of intensity in the mouth is of robust sake. The aroma on the tongue is strongly dry. The body is structured. The taste intensity is high, and the taste persistence is good. The taste is pleasant. Hints of vanilla, white peach, fruit, herbs, white pepper, white flowers and kiwi are deposited on the roof of the mouth, for a delicate and fruity aroma and a light taste.

Bottle drunk 6/26/21.
Cloudy, having mixed up the sediment.
Rice milk and a bit of acidity with good cleanliness and no booze. Lighter on the coconut character that is often heavy in nigoris. Delicate pineapple and rice cream finish.
Lightly sweet and very soft in the mouth with, again, no flaw or raw alcohol. Tropical character is restrained, as is the acidity, but it's not too sweet for it. Nice stuff, went down very fast and easily.
