Hadn’t had a sake in awhile so grabbed from Julios. Random but delicious find. Clear pour and nose is meaty and woody. Tastes of cedar, peppery, cantaloupe, some light mushroom. Rich bodied. The abv is hidden with no harshness. Creamy texture. Lovely

Clear, bright pearl.
Juicy melon and light coconut in the nose with, perhaps, a touch of wood. No actual cedar. Is this really a taru, as listed on the menu (seems like no)? Sweet papaya and milky rice notes on the end with no alcohol and highly clean overall.
Sweet with kiwi-coconut, in the mouth, leading to light wood tannin-or perhaps strong rice grain. Mild acidity throughout helps balance and it ends on a honeydew melon note. Low coconut, no pineapple. Soft, rich, clean. Sweet, but yet inviting of more and never getting heavy or remotely cloying. Excellent.

720 ml bottle. Touch of yellow. Big rice nose, stone fruit, light tropical fruits too. Lovely nose. Flavor is full and sweet, tons of stewed fruits, slightly peppery and spicy. Wow, a perfect tokubestu imo. Full and rich but fragrant as hell.

720 ml bottle from Furusato Nozei. Unpasteurized nama version. Shiny, slightly oily. Grand fruit nose, ripe pineapple and mango, pear, rice and some spicy koji / ginjo-ka. Lovely. Actually, I get the cucumber and aloe vera comments as well. There is something like that in here too. Lots of spicy ginjo flavor, peppery, cedar, apples, light tropcial fruit, aloe. Delicious stuff. Light, smooth, almost ethereal. Very good sake.
