--Gravity cask at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. -- Cloudy amber, mid sized head. Bready nose with hay and caramel. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Bread and hay, mild caramel. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden colour, white foam. Bready, light bitter, sweet, some honey. Good Heller Bock.

Pours mid-brown, looks almost black in the glass. A couple of fingers of a slightly off-white head which shows decent persistence and lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: dark bread, lightly roasted malts, a bit of coffee, the slightest hint of spiciness. Taste notes follow the aroma, with a delicate cola-like foundation to give it a bit of refreshing feel. Medium to high sweetness, light to medium bitterness, but still very much in good balance, with a relatively dry, clean finish. Pretty light in body, more than you would expect in a 5.2% abv beer, with average, small-bubbled, soft carbonation. Resulting in a very easy, smooth mouthfeel. Overall: maybe not too deep, but a well made, highly drinkable schwarzbier.

50cl Flasche. Ein trübes dunkel goldenes Bier mit einer stabilen weißen Schaumkrone. Aroma: Karamell, würziger Hopfen, Hefe, wenig Nelke. Geschmack: mild süßes Karamell, Hefe, angenehm nelkig, hohe Karbonisation.

Bottle. Pale golden, low white head, sparkly. Nice stonefruit and meadow hoppiness. Medium body, mellow chewy mouthfeel. Juicy entry, good fruity balance, pleasant sparkly citrus and gooseberry finish. Nice.
