Fläschla: More than “Dunkel”, almost black with a ruby sheen, presumably hazy, mid-sized creamy and stable tanned head, distinctive and rich sweet fruity and dark-malty nose with toasted malt and traces of bitter chocolate; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, creamy MF; lingering sweet toasty and fruity finish with a mild balancing bitterness in the aftertaste. Great! Franconian! Stuff!

Günther-Bräu Hausbrauer, Flasche von Edeka Werner, Burgkunstadt. - Satt goldgelb, klar; schöner Schaum. - In der Nase leicht derbe zitronige Hopfung, schwache ranzige Züge und fülliges helles Malz mit merklicher Süße. - Antrunk etwas derb zitronig und getreidig hellmalzig mit leichter Vanillesüße. Gut rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang nicht zu knappe aber etwas schmalspurige zitronige Hopfung. - Der Begriff Hausbrauerbier sagt ja nichts über die Biersorte aus, ließ mich aber auf ein fränkisches Kellerbier hoffen. Dies ist jedoch ein etwas dickeres Helles von simpler Machart, einspurig gehopft und wenig komplex. (28.8.2022.)

Günther-Bräu Helles, Flasche vom Landbierdealer, Hof. - Strohgelb, klar. - In der Nase getreidiges helles Malz mit zartem Süßsauer, ein Hauch von Vanille, milde zitronige und herbale Hopfung. - Antrunk fein getreidig hellmalzig mit zartem Süßsauer, blasser Vanille und sortentypisch milder herbaler Hopfung mit leichter Grundierung von Zitronenschale. Milder rezent, leicht trocken. Im Abgang milde Herbe. - Sauber malziges, rundes, ein wenig blass gehopftes aber doch sehr anständiges Helles. Durchaus trinkbar. (19.6.2022.)

Dicke Euroflasche. Auf den ersten, flüchtigen Blick sieht das Etikett wie das legendäre Gutmann Weizen aus. Wie dieses auch eine gute Menge Hefe, die es auszuschütteln gilt. Hier enden dann aber die Gemeinsamkeiten. Fruchtig (grüner Apfel, gelbe Pflaume und Zitrone - alles Richtung überreif), hefig und Porridge. Ein ganz minimaler Hauch von Balsamico. Guter Kompromiss aus Substanz und Süffigkeit. Solides und leckeres helles Weizen.

Bottle picked up from Hier Gibt's Bier webshop Eckersdorf, Franconia, Bayern and consumed at home Sunday 6th March 2022 listening to Squid - Bright Green Field and cooking a Lamb Tagine and also Pastitsio just had the Tagine and it was great. Pours chestnut brown with a ruby hue, some dark molasses, sweet but nice moutheel. Very soft mouthfeel, a little gentle warmth, malty, it's good, simple as that, good.

Bottle picked up from Hier Gibt's Bier webshop, Eckersdorf, Franconia, Bayern. Consumed at home Tuesday 1st March 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Pours gold good clarity, there is a white head atop. Soft moutheel, a little biscuit, some sweeteness, not quite hitting the heights of the previous beer but fine.

Bottle picked up from Hier Gibt's Bier webshop, Eckersdorf, Franconia, Bayern and consumed at home Monday 28th February 2022, listening to Marc Riley on 6Music. Pours crystal clear warm gold with a white head, a full bodied Bockbier, nice softness in the mouth, malty, little bit fruity, alcohol is well integrated. Good beer.
