Bottled@SBWF2014. See through clear colour, no head. Aroma is apples, some fruit, mild alcohol sweetness and sweet rice. Flavour is spices, herbs, some mild fruity notes, apples and some wooden notes as well. Somewhat dry palate.

Bottle at home was planning on just getting tequila from liquor store but alas the sake room called me in yet again. Pours clear with light tinge. Nose is fragrant and with some melon. Tastes of cantaloupe, perfume, banana peel, dried fruit, bit of yogurt, hint of pine needle bite, and some alcohol. Drying finish and lingering fruit.

Bottle from Yamaya. 720 ml. Yellow-green color, a bit oily. Funky kimoto nose, rice, caramel. Sweet, rich, kimoto flavor. Lots of caramel and rice. Bit too sweet, but good body and nice. Rathernlight acidity.

Bottle sampled at Sakaya NYC. Tiny plastic sampler cup. 80 degrees outside. This was a refreshing start.
Clear, still, barely a tint to it.
Only sake of the day that I just about completely agreed with the exaggerated write up. Mango & pineapple stick out a lot. Bright acid. Invigorating.
Taste is more of the same, though with a good bit of bite. Maybe some orange in there. Bit of soda sweetness. Light yeast. Rindy bitterness. Low phenols. Touch of slickness. Clean finish.

Bottled@SBWF2012. Clear water colour with no head. Aroma is honey, some sap, mild citrusy notes as well as some sweet rice. Flavour is quite juicy with mild sap, zest and some sweet rice. Hides the 15 % surprisingly well.
