330ml bottle. Hazy, darkest brown colour with late awakening, huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty, herbal-spicy, dark malty aroma, hints of burnt coffee, chocolate, chicory, lovage, soy sauce. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly herbal-spicy, milk chocolate notes with subtle sweetness, dark chocolate as well, hints of salty liquorice; slightly sweet malty and chocolately finish. Smooth, soft palate, a sweet-ish sticky layer remains on the lips. Maybe finally a bit too sweet, but really fine overall.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Moderately roasted malty aroma with notes of chocolate, cacao, leather, traces of cassis and a shy whiff of herbal hoppy spice in the background. Mildly roasty bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft, even a bit tame carbonation. Moderately roasted malt character with light to subtle berry fruity accent, present notes of chocolate and traces of mocha; mildly sweet malty and slightly roasty and hop bitter finish with hints of chocolate and subtle fruity notes. Good. 22.II.15

330ml bottle. Somehow disguised, amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Diversified & somehow unspecific aroma, malty, fruity, yeasty, grassy, and herbal, takes an intricate pathway from nut biscuit via apple to diluted nutmeg and back, making a cereal detour. Taste is dry, fruity, malty, hints of red apple, apple parings, a floral touch, pollen, honey; slightly watery. Diversified but of cautious character, somehow erratic, desultory, sketchy.

Bottle. A lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather buttery, with some pine cones and grapefruit. It’s buttery on the palate too, dryish, and with a pleasant carbonation level. Bitterness, grapefruit and pine cones in the flavor, with the bitterness lasting for quite some time. Not the worst IPA I’ve had, but I find it to buttery to be a good one. 150227

Bottle. An unclear golden beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is on the hoppy side, with pale malts in the back. Resins and grapefruit. It’s full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, with a nice bitterness level. Resins, grapefruit and pine cones. Some pale malts too. Lasting bitter and resiny finish. Quite nice this one, but far from superb. 150227

Bitter hopfiger Antrunk, rund, die Bitterkeit steigt sogar noch etwas. Grasig hopfig, frisch, die starke Bitterkeit gefällt. Gut. 11/11/12/12/11/12
