Bottle thanks to the Moncada folks during RBESG 2014 Grand Tasting. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is orange, tangerine, candied peel and tropical fruit juice. The taste is bitter-sweet, caramel, orange peel, tangerine, peppery grapefruit, varnish and decent bitterness with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent enough.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, dark golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, decently lacing, off-white head. Manifold aroma covers a considerable range of flavours: fruity notes of apricot and peach, spicy Saison yeast, hints of mustard, some smoke, brine, salsiccia, ephemeral rose hip and hibiscus. Taste is mainly bitter, bitter hoppy and bitter herbal, some rose hip and hibiscus again, a touch of orange zest flashes up in between, sadly not much spiciness left from the yeast portfolio. Not necessarily a "great escape", but hey, Bruges is a nice place to be.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey dark golden to amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Unspectacular, flat hoppy aroma, inexplicit, even hard to give a rough direction - definitely more herbal-strawy than fruity, but else? Taste is flat bitter hoppy, almost Pilsener-like, minimally floral, malty basis has an almond touch; bitter and chalky finish. Would have liked to like it, because I like the label design, but... this is definitely not an escape from boring standard stuff. It’s rather like coming home into familiar, dull, run-of-the-mill conditions. "Oh, wie schön ist Panama."

330ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Overall cautious aroma, slightly pale malty, slightly strawy, a fruity touch of peach. Taste is minimally fruity hoppy, a touch of peach again, additionally hints of straw, hay, grass, subtle pale malt sweetness. Obviously intended to appear "crafty", definitely above average, corresponding nice artwork and shrewd concept. Nevertheless fishy, too professional appearance, already somehow mainstream German craft , more reaction than genuine inspiration. Too early for a concluding judgement, will have to try more.
