Bottle. A hazy, reddish brown beer with a small, beige head. Dark sugars, cardamom, dried fruits and some coffee on the nose. A bit weak though. Sweet flavor with dried fruits, dark sugars, some spices and a little herbal bitterness. Effervescent and full-bodied. Short finish with some herbal bitterness. I like the spicy touch in this one, but it’s a bit too bland to be a really good beer. (090328)

Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. A clear, golden beer with some sediments left in the bottle if poured gently. Creamy, finger thick beige head on top. Fruity, resiny nose, quite malty sweet, with hints of beef stock and a tiny sourish touch. The flavor is kicked off by a hint of sourness, but not at an annoying level. It’s soon overpowered by a malt-sugary sweetness blended with fruity, resiny hops. Medium body, a bit sugary-sticky. Sweet, stock-like finish with a nice bitterness. A quite nice beer, but nothing more. Also, there might be a little infection in it. (090328)

50cl bottle at home, bought at skjold bourne allerød some time ago. best before 16.6.2009, sampled 19.2.2009 slightly hazy reddish brown, large thick light brown head. faint fruity aroma, faint sourness, malty aroma. judging from the aroma the beer might be sour from infection, i’ll find out in a second. flavor is dominantly sourish but not so sour that i can’t taste roasted malts. anyway, this is going down the sink, i’m too old for infected beer. brewn at raasted acc. to bottle.
