Bottle. A hazy, golden beer topped by an off-white head. Slightly funky nose with pale malts, a faint honey touch, peppery spicyness and yeast. Spiced flavor on the sweet side. Pale malts, some bitterness. Medium body, sweetish, and with some bitterness in the finish. An unusual beer, but nice in a way. 091120

(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Black coloured hue with a huge and persistent brown foamy head. Roast-malty aroma with dark berries, liquorice, shy piney hops and a whiff of smoke in the background. Moderately sweet flavour with a burnt and slightly hoppy bitterness, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roasty malty taste with liquorice, caramel, subtle fruity notes and shades of smoke; moderately dry, bitter sweet finish with a lasting roasty aftertaste and light notes of lemony hops. Complex and very pleasant Stout. 31.XII.07
