Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear, nutty brown with a creamy, beige head. Toffee and biscuit nose. Solid, malty body although 6,5% can hardly be considered a Doppelbock. Some caramel but those spices don't do anything good for the beer - whatsoever. Some finishing bitterness. 210823

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Dark brown, small head. Aroma of earthy licorice and dirty, salty salmiak. Sweet with light to medium body and clean mouthfeel. Fragile, caramelly malt. The typical untidy infectious notes you always seem to get when adding licorice. Salty bitter finish.

Bottle. A clear amber colored beer topped by a dense off-white head. Some lacing. Sweetish, malty aroma, bread, notes of dark rye bread, toffee hints and some dark dried fruits. Alcohol too. It's full bodied, sweet and lightly warming, almost sticky, with little bitterness. Decent carbonation. The flavor follows the same pattern as the aroma, only with slightly more focus on the dried fruits. Medium length sweet and sticky finish. Not my choice for BBQ, except maybe reduced to use as a glaze. But anyway, it's drinkable indeed, but far from convincing. 230803

Bottle. A hazy amber to golden colored beer with a dense two finger off-white head. Generic berries and fruityness in the aroma, with a light sour maltyness. Some hay and grass. It's medium bodied, nicely carbonated and semi-dry, with a very gentle bitterness. Berry-sour notes in the flavor, with some bready, doughy malts, vague lemon hints and a grass note. Medium length fruity, berry-ish finish. Sort of decent, perhaps best used as a small aperitif. 230803

Absolutely huge, dense & stable dark cream, as whipped eggwhite head; dark brown beer with a ruby glow. Dry wood, liquorice (very obvious), dried-out, aged chocolate bar. Liquorice, jap . Very faintly smoked, birchwood fire. Finish has a faint acidity, growing in time. Feels better bodied than it is, and really quite slick. Well-carbonated. Starts maybe a tad lame, but it grew in my appreciation. Txs to Stef!

0,5 litre Bottle, from a trade, at home. Brown with offwhite head. Malts, hops, yeast, Fruity, herbal, some sweetness.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Deep brownish copper colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, some dried fruits and mild smoked tones. Flavour is caramel, smoked wet wooden tones, rye bread and some mild earthy elements.

Bottled, thx HP! Shared with Motelpogo & Mowbeer. Hazy golden body, off-white head. Minty, wheaty, spicy aroma. Sweet taste, spice, minty notes, lightly phenolic, bit earthy. Quite okay overall, not a wow, but not bad at all in my book.
