50cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense: Pours pitch black with a large creamy bubbly brown head. Aroma is roasted malts - coffee mainly. Chocolate, coffee, ashy (burnt roast) & a chili note in the end - slightly burning the tongue. Smooth & filling palate - low carbonaion. A good example of how good beers Brøckhouse is still capable of brewing! Thumbs up!

Thin dark brown body. Opaque black body. Dry chocolatey and coffeeish aroma with burnt notes and some grassy hops. Dry roasty burnt chocolate and coffee taste. Sharpish with quite a bit of peppery heat. You can feel the chili. Very nice. (0.5l bottle from gr0ve.)

Bottle, thx to HenrikSoegaard. A clear, golden pour with microfloaties and a medium-sized beige head. Quite hoppy for a Belgian-style strong ale, but that seems to be the new thing, and I like it. Gives a new dimention to them, but we need both styles. There’s also a fruity aroma, and a little spicy touch. Caramel-sweet flavor with some citrus and spices. Full body. Long, sweet finish with some bitterness. Really pleasant, at least to my taste. (080302)

Bottle. Elegantly presented and looks great in the glass with a dark-ish amber hue and nice medium head. A little less exciting on the palate, with brown-ish leanings despite its IPA label.

nice aroma, as espected but a little stronger perhaps. looks good, clear and orange/red/yellow with nice head. Flavour has sometnig i don’t like a trace of bitter banana and artificial strawberry bubble gum. other than these hints, taste is good. Palate is smooth and very delicious. Overall impression is mixed. good beer gone bad somehow ;-). Looking at the label, it seems it migt just be deeper than i can swim.

Bottle. A weird overmatured banana taste was in the background at the end.. If i didn’t know how the style ought to taste, i would’ve sworn this was not healthy. Anyway - the weird/unpleasant undertones does not hide a relatively good beer.

bottle, from the supermarket. When i tasted this my language must’ve been out due to alc. but i did rate it , since my sense of numbers (and beer) is the last thing to go usually. I wrote one word : Nice.

i am surprised how high a rating i give right now, but this is a very well crafted beer. soft, good looking, tastes great and it’s not even that strong. I can’t remember to have tasted this good a stout with such a low alc. percentage. If you like stout even just a little bit, you’ve got to try this one.
