Clear golden colour, minimal creamy white head; aroma and taste of grapefruit, pine resiny, pomelo, some floral and biscuity notes; good IPA

Ever so slightly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head that's fairly large bubbled. Aroma of grain, fairly astringent and crisp hop notes that seem to have a lot of alpha acid bitterness, but also pack a lot of stone fruit scents - nice! Medium to Full-bodied; Pretty rich grainy and earthy malt notes show at first with a pungent apricot and plum flavour that also gives off a little sweetness along with a pretty nice and assertive bitterness that is pretty floral and a touch grassy. Aftertaste is pretty crisp throughout with an excellent balance of malt and hops, both showing very strong, with only a sliver of sweetness, but much more astringency and pungent, dry notes. Overall, a pretty nice, crisp and assertive IPA that does show Imperial Status from the rich malt and hops, but isn't cloying nor too extreme. Nice to try locally and very fresh, worth trying if readily available, like it was for me! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Pentagon Row), Virginia on 28-June-2022 for US$1,87 (part of a mixed six pack), packaged on 11-April-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 11-July-2022.

12 ounce can thanks to hershiser2! 7/27/23. Hazy yellow, thin off-white head, average retention. Aroma of tropical fruit, pale malt. Mild aroma. Taste is pineapple, tropical fruit. Slick.
