Pours pitch back with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, licorice and coffee. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long chocolate and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a dense, finger-thick beige head over an almost clear dark amber to light brown body. The aroma is mostly malty, quite bready, with some caramel and roasted malts. Prunes and pine cones. The flavor has a nice bitterness, as well as pine cones. Some alcohol flavor and warmth. Full body with a soft carbonation. Bitter,malty finish with a fruity touch. Nothing impressive going on here, it’s too alcoholic and also slighlty boring. 131231

Bottle, 12oz. A creamy, beige head forms over a clear, dark golden body. Malty, lightly citrusy, piney aroma. Some nuttyness, but rather boring. The flavor has a plesant bitterness, but else it’s quite boring. Citrusy, grassy hops. Medium to full body, quite dry, with a nice carbonation level. Bitterness, grass and some fruityness in the finish. A pretty boring one, but not flawed in any way. 131231

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a small, dense, off-white head over a quite clear, golden body. Mint-ish and resiny aroma with some maltyness. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming on the palate, semi-sweet. Sweet maltyness and a nice bitterness in the flavor. Mint, herbs, grass notes and some pineapple. Lasting bitter finish. A decent one, far from impressive. 131231

Bottle, 12oz. A dark brown one, clear looking, and topped by a dense, dark beige head. Lots of mocha on the nose, caramel too, but not much else. The flavor is equally unintersting and one dimensional, a little bitterness showing up to keep the cocoa and chocolate company. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Roasted, dry finish.
