12oz bottle pours up with a clear amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up modest winter spices like cinnamon and nutmeg to go along with a thin pumpkin like sensation. The taste has a near overzealous degree of winter spices that are immune to the tempering effects of a thin malty sweetness and a mild pumpkin pulse here and there. Decent but it could tone down the spices a bit and bring up the body and the pumpkin.

Tap at the California Brewers Showcase Festival. Pours copper with a slight head. Aroma of fruits and brown sugar. Near full bodied. Flavor is malty’hoppy - strong flavors - I can pull out some earth, but this may be complicated stuff. Damn good tasting ale.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a nice large foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of citrus hops notes with light dry caramel malt notes. Taste is also a mix between some citrus hops notes with some dry caramel malt notes with medium bitterness. Body is average with good carbonation. Average old school IPA.
