Bottled. Nut brown. Fruity bubblegum aroma. Intensely aromatic. Clean, rounded mouthfeel. Notes of coffee, plums and lingonberry jam. Dusty bitter tobacco finish. Controversial and flavourful. I loved it, but would understand anyone that hates it.

Bottled. Dark mahogany with beige head. Capuccino aroma. Sweet and very softly malty with loads of coffee and whipped cream. Salty finish. Had this been an American beer we would have heard immediate appeals for the new style "Imperial Mild"...

Bottled. Aroma of apple and licorice. Clean, rounded mouthfeel. Chewy malts, coffee and loads of cane sugar dominates this flavourful, but rather unrefined stout. The recipe is from 1792? Perhaps it's about time to update it...

Amber color, oily, absolutely flat. Pleasant aroma of malt, Porto wine. Oily; strong body but not too sweet; the bitterness shows up more at the end; alcohol touch. Too poor Barley Wine, lacking a better malty body or any hop.
If I remember... it was the most expensive bottle at Pitfield's, 4 years ago... there was no need of waiting so long before uncorking it.

Nose of heated sugar, burnt sugar, carboline, canddyfied orange. Absolutely off-putting!Taste surprisingly flat. There''s lots of caramel, at least not cloying, also something reminding of Mandarine Napoléon, some spices. Only the ginger shows itself, after some time. Chewy mouthfeel. "Muscovado" (British dark molasses sugar, wet) sugar lingers on.

Golden ale with a good complex of fruity (peach, pear) flavours, leafy hop and soft malt. A good, refreshing session bitter.

Bottled. Orange colured and really cloudy with rich head. Fruity (apple & apricot) aroma. Malty and flowery, medium bodied and medium bitter. The very light mouthfeel makes it dangerously drinkable for a strong ale. Delicious!

When I had this, it was Shoreditch Stout (the porter was 1850 London Porter); Dark brown. Malty and dry with somewhat mealy mouthfeel. Roasty with mild finish.

Bottled version. Reddish amber. Firmly malty, with crystal malt character. Well hopped, rich in chocolate flavour. Really bitter finish.
