Legend Brewing Company is a commercial microbrewery providing true premium beers to many of the best pubs and restaurants in Richmond and other areas of Virginia since January, 1994. Our mission is to bring to our customers the finest and freshest brews as flavorful alternatives to mass-marketed mainstream products. We're one of the few craft breweries in this region producing both lagers and ales, which require different yeasts and maturation conditions. All Legend beers are unpasteurized and made from only two-row and specialty barley malt, hops, water and yeast.

On draft at Mad Fox Oktoberfest. Pours a clear dark copper with an off white head. Caramel notes. High carbonation. Lingering moderately bitter finish.

Gravicask, one-third pint, American bar, GBBF 2013. Next to clear amber coloured body. Vanishing white head, spotty lacing. Lemony hops on the nose. Fresh citrus taste with bitter pine needles towards the ending. Fine bodied. Pleasing (London Olympia 14.08.2013).

Draft @ Virginia Craft Beer Festival 2013, Williamsburg VA: Mild, wood, maple syrup nose. Crystal clear tea colored, medium head. Metallic, lightly sweet maple syrup. Slightly fizzy. Mild, sessionable, some flavor.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small to fully gone head. Aroma is stale grapefruity. Bitter, peachy, blueberry like from back of the nose. Dry and bitter into the finish.

Cask at GBBF 2013, Olympia, London. A deep golden coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sweet, fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes is similar, sweet, fruity, hoppy.

Gravity @ gbbf, medium sample. Clear golden color, short head. Aroma of fruity hop, bit pine, bit grapefruit, bit flowery. Medium bitter in taste, slight dry. Nothing out of the ordinary, but pretty ok.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee, stone fruits and a bit of burnt sugar. The taste is caramel and herbal hops. Medium bodied. Decent.

Guys, please update your labels! Bomber from the brewpub. Pours a clear dark red color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, toasted malts and mild notes of apple, banana and hops. The taste is toasted malts, caramel, raisin in the finish. Almost seems oxidized a bit, though it’s fresh. Medium bodied. Disjointed and off balanced, but still decent.
