The bottle looks great, the beer in the glass also. Almost black, dark foam. Tastes malty and strong, modest dry, not as sweet as others. A bit metallcically finish. Interesting!

Sauberes Pils! Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,12,12,13,11,12 - 12,20

Bottled in Veilbronn. Cloudy pale orange, creamy head. Vague banana aroma. Sweet and light bodied but never thin. Drier finish with some paper. Pretty good for a leichtes weizen.

Draught in Veilbronn. Clear golden, small head. Buttery nose with some diacetyl. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Notes of grass, but generally lacking in hops. Medium bitterness. The lagerbiers from Maisel seem all to be sub par by Bamberg standards.

Draught in Veilbronn. Clear golden, small head. Fruity phenolic nose. Sweet and medium bodied with notes of vegetables. Medium bodied with bold mouthfeel and too much sweetness. Low bitterness. With it’s lack of harmony it feels very un-Frankisch.
