dark brown color, white head, huge dark chocolate , brown sugar, burnt raisins, truffles, dark cherries, brownies, caramel, slight alcohol burn in the nose. Very full bodied rich, lots of dark fruit and brownies, tons of truffles, raisins , very very rich well balanced. Lingering truffles and dark chocholate drowned in brown sugar and molasses. Fucking incredible.

An intensely rich, thick and syrupy brew showing signs of burnt raisins, port, brown sugar, caramel and milk chocolate. The alcohol is definetely noticeable in the finish, but it just shows that even after two years this baby could rest another five, before it needs to wake up. The malt backbone seemed to be somewhat German, which was odd for the style, but it seemed to work.

Draft at GABF 2009. Nose is chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. Black with a medium cinnamon tan head. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, and very light bitterness. 8/4/9/4/17 4.2 Bomber from LetsPour bottled 10 9 12. Black with a huge tan head. Nose is coffee, some roast, and light chocolate. Flavor is lightly bitter, coffee, and some toasted bread.

22 oz. bottle, pours dark brown with a minimal head. Aroma of roasted malt, hops and nuts. Flavour of roasted malt and hops, with a thin body. Nicely balanced.

Shipped to me by my wife on a trip to Portland. Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and produced great lacing. The aroma was strong grapefruit and lemon with a light floral presence and a tangy and sour undertone. The flavor was sweet, tangy and fruity with notes of grapefruit,pine, lemon and a sour caramel undertone. The flavor was long, sour and fruity. Fairly full bodied. Nice.

22 oz bottle, courtesy of a friend. Pour is mostly clear mahogany, with a 1/2 inch tan head that falls quickly. Aroma is the barrel right up front, following close behind is the alcohol heat. Taste is brandy alcohol heat, oak wood, and some weird roastiness. Palate is hot, medium bodied, oily, with a quick and clean finish. This is ok, just hot. Not sure if it would improve with age, but right now too much wood and alcohol for my tastes.

Bottle @ Papsø. Thanks. Pours dark brown with a ruby glow and a off white head. Deep malty and very vinous nose. Caramel, vanilla, fruit and a bit of alcohol. Quite warm flavor. Full bodied. Sticky and oily. Very dry end.
