On lstofa Kormks of Skjaldar, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal notes, with a grassy, vegetal character. Flavour is very vegetal, with fungal notes and a nasty vegetal character. Awful stuff.

On tap at Bjrgarurinn, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw, grassy notes, and cereal grains. Flavour is cheap and watery, with grassy notes, herbal notes, and some vegetal character. Pissy and cheap. But it's drinkable.

Can shared in Oldmeldrum. It pours deep brown with a decent tan head. The aroma is sweet, oily, meaty, marmite and malt loaf. The taste is sweet, sticky, so sweet, heavy sugary alcohol, treacle, crazy sugary, sugared plums, cherry cola and date with a sugary finish. Light body and fine carbonation. So god. Dam sweet.

Very little aroma at all. Clear gold with a decent white head. Light, refreshing and a touch if apple.

Can from a Reykjavík market. Pours bright gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is bready with a hint of grassy hop. Near med body. Flavor is bready with a fair amount of grassy/spicy hop. I could deal with this as a session beer.

Can from a market near the Center Hotels. Pours bright gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Aroma is bready with a spice note. Med minus body. Flavor is bready with a spice note. Actually the flavor isn’t really weak, but it’s unusual. The Near Beer of decades ago immediately came to mind. Refreshing.

Can on Icelandic Air heading East. Pours bright gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is bready with a hint of spicy hop. Sort of medium body. Flavor is bready with a little spicy hop. Arguably tastier than Bud. I’ll drink it.

From Nate: gold pour/white head. Sugary grain aroma. Smooth, sweet low taste. Not really grainy or bitter. Accordingly, nothing is too off in this... boring but refreshing.

Bottle from Vinbudin, Reykjavik. Pours clear golden, topped with a medium sized, foamy white head. Mildly grainy nose, corn - typical stuff. Mildly sweet, quite corny. Medium bitterness to balance. Medicinal finish. classic macro lager.
