(Can 33 cl) This is the original canned version from 2002. Very pale, almost clear with a fairly decent head. First flavour impression is water with beer flavour. This has less character than Budweiser or Corona. Second impression is simply foul - artificial and chemical. Avoid at all costs. 251002 (Bottle 33 cl) New version at 4,9% ABV. Pale golden with a pretty much absent head. No real aroma either. Weird sweetness that doesn’t seem to relate to the malt - as there isn’t really any malty feel. No hops either. (Bottle 33 cl) Apparently Carlsberg changed the recipe on this to resemble the premium lager "Grøn Tuborg". Well, let’s just say they didn’t succeed. The colour is decently pilsener golden and the head is dense and quite stable. But the flavour.... Weird bready notes of rye bread - with liver paste. And as much as I like those flavours it’s not to be expected in a beer. Horrible. 051101

330 ml clear bottle, bought in Denmark. ABV is 4.9%. Very pale colour, decent head and lacing. Weak citrussy aroma. Flavour? Nearly flavourless, carbonated water with just a faint hint of crystal malts and citrus. Gets an extra point for not being quite as offensive as some of the other ratings made me expect. The hints of dishwashing liquid in the finish are, after all, not overwhelming ....

Bottled. Golden colour, big bubbly head. Malty and hoppy aroma. Sweet malty flavour with hints of hops. Good balance in this one.

(Bottle 33 cl) Read some statistics last Christmas: I believe this beer has about 60-70% of the Danish market for Christmas beers. And nothing could be more unjustified. Lovely, dark amber colour with a fine creamy head. Very watery with a hint of caramel-malt and an idea of some hops. You don’t taste the added licorice. Extremely disappointing and very anonymous. If you have the choice, always grab a Carlsberg 47 instead of this crap. 081299

(Bottle 75 cl) Years ago this used to be a nicer, stronger and much more characterful beer. But years have passed and Carlsberg has killed most of it’s personality, dilluting it and turning down the alcohol. Nice amber colour with a decent head. lots of carbonation (could be because of a different bottling in the large, Belgian bottles). Slightly malty character and a light sweetness, but no palate. Definitely not a great beer - anymore. 051199

(Bottle 33 cl) Danish version: Very pale golden, pretty much non-existing head. Rather harmonious and balanced, discreet but existing bitterness and a lightly sweet finish. A none-offending beer for the masses. 210799 (Bottle 38 cl) Plastic bottled Danish version. 4/2/4/2/8=2 110300 (Bottle 33 cl) Icelandic version brewed by "Ölgerdin Egill Skallagrímson" in Reykjavik. Pale golden, with a very small, creamy head. A bit of aroma hops in the nose. Rather sweet malt, medium body and a short, dry hoppiness in the finish. Decent brew and certainly not a beer that will offend anyone.
5/2/3/2/8=2,0 (Bottle 33 cl) Swedish version made by Falcon at 4,2% ABV. Golden beer with a nice creamy head. Light and very drinkable, slightly watery. Very standard lager that neither pleases nor offends. 4/2/4/2/8=2 210202

(Bottle 33 cl) Nicely golden with a good, strong and more stable head than in the Danish original. And not surprisingly this is more bitter.
