Bottle. Grainy malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Stale barley malt flavor. Extra points for not being a blatant Corona rip-off. Decent enough pale lager.

Bottled (thanks heemer77!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel and maize, very sweet. Flavour are very much the same with some bready hints also around. Not very nice. Also some hints of citrus fruits (lemon mainly, but also others).

342 ml bottle brought back from Belize by my father. Poured into a De Ranke wine like glass. Pours with a large head that fades into an average lacing. Color is dark yellow with almost light orangish tints in the middle. Moderate aroma with some of the corn but another weird element, almost like a rose and as if there is some aged British malts. Taste is surprisingly nice with some fresh hoppiness, again a stronge aged British malt aftertaste. Low bitterness and average carbonation. Now that I think about this Belize was a British colony until 1981 as I understand. It has always been very English-ified and I bet that has influenced their beer culture, even in a pale lager. In the end this is a surpringly fesh and nice pale lager from a place where i would think the opposite would be true.

Comes in a bigger bottle than the other Belikins, but like many Premium beers out there, I preferred the normal to it. It had this weird taste that was hard to put your finger on and left this sort of strange taste in the mouth. Malty, not too bitter, drinkable, but I would choose most other beers over this.

This is served in the same bottle as the normal Belikin, but this beer comes with a blue cap instead of a green one. For some reason, Belize imports mostly stout beers, but most of the imports are not as good as this nice little beer. High on the alcohol and rich with a light chocolately, coffee taste. Definately worth a try, if it ever becomes available. Not for everyone.

This was the second beer I tried in Belize. It was pretty much like the normal Belikin, but lighter. It is not the most interesting beer. It lacks a complex flavour, a good body, or any real character, but it is drinkable and cheap in Belize.

This is the beer of Belize. Aside from this and the other Belikin beers, it is difficult to find other beers. Fortunately, this beer is not half bad. It is a nice crisp, relatively light beer, that is perfect to drink on a beach or under a palm roof. Smells a bit skunky, but taste does not reflect smell really. Really refreshing beer. If you go to Belize, it is worth bringing back a sixer. Bottle is unfortunately only 9 ounces or so.

Oale yellow with no head, skunky corn aroma, light malty taste with light hops. No character lager. May 2005, Capflu’s BW tasting.

This is one was better than the regular belikin beer. Quite the same skunky aroma, but softer taste.
