Warning! Early amateur rating! Very cherry beer, not sharp at all. Easy to drink but not as spectacular as the Apricot beer from this brewer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright beet red color with a small pink head. the aroma was strong tart and sour cherry. The flavor was tart, tangy and had a strong sour cherry element and a light nutty undertone. The finish was very long tart sour cherry. The body was fairly thick. Excellent.

Bottled (BB 05/2009, Vasa session). Deep cherry color, small pinky head. Tart and sweet cherry candy aroma, quite lollipop-like. Sweetish cherry flavor, berry stones, candy, some tartness, a bit like Lindemans kriek, but less sour. Fizzy carbonation. Somehow likeable, but same time a bit too close to soft drink.

bottle - Pours ruby red with a thin pink head. The aroma is all about the cherries, as is the flavor. Rich, sweet cherries with a hint of tartness make this brew more of a dessert drink. The wild yeast isn’t noticeable. It’s too one dimensional to be great, but it’s tasty and reminds me a lot of Kasteel Kriek.

Bottled (from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is apricot, earth, much sourness and also some wet wood. Very nice. Flavour is sweet apricot, some sourness, mild wood and very pleasantly balanced. Too bad the apricot is a bit too sweet/strong in the flavour, othewise a very nice brew.
