Because of our passion for good beer, we try to get a little better with every beer and push our boundaries.
Folkinge, the first part of our name, refers to the location where we started brewing: in the 'backyard' of a beer shop on the Folkingestraat in Groningen. Brew refers to the American craft beer culture, where we get our inspiration.

From can at Remko's Bierproefavond november 2025. Didn't take notes, just enjoyed the beers and good company. What I do remember: Nice one. Can compete with the better American and Canadian (NE)IPA's

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 17 Aug 2025) Hazy yellow colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of banana, lemon, passionfruit and yeast. Fruity, tart taste with citrus, banana, passionfruit, pineapple and white bread. No bitterness. More than medium body, mainly dry. Ok, I was a bit sceptic about this, but it turned out the fresh acidity and dryness make it work really well. Tasty and refreshing. Very nice.

Sampöe, thanks fonefan! cöoudy reddish amber. Aroma of strawberry jam and sour rosehip sauce. Artificially sweet with sour strawbwrry jam. No bitterness. Very artificial and disturbingly sweet.

From Strumpf Getränkmarkt, Ingelheim, sharing it with my wife, yesterday night, enjoying a free day with this correct and sweet ipa or neipa, smooth. oat, perfumed, yeasty, tropical fruits, passion fruit, citrus and bitter, alcool well hidden.

Thanks fonefan! Hazy deep orange colour, small white head. Aroma is rosehip soup, mild toffee with some slight tart floral tones. Flavour is tart rosehip soup, floral tones with some mild tart wooden tones and a bit toffee to it as well.

Blik gedeeld met Roelzie. Het is een troebel geel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van perzik, abrikozen en hop. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet, perziken en hop.

From tap at Folkingebrew, Groningen. Aroma is fruity hops, orange, tropical notes, mango, light hopburn. Moderate bitter, a little hopburn.
