Draft at Karl's Cabin. Pours a clear, deep gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Aromas of citrus, pineapple, blueberry and pine. Palate is similar with nice hoppy bite and clean, crisp malt. Slightly warming alcohol on the finish. Great stuff!

Panda thanks to Wingman. Almost clear very dark brown beer, a good bubbly tan head. Palate is pretty light for the hefty abv, light and a bit more than semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. The dark malts bring a mild creamy sweetness. An intense coffee soon takes over, like licking roasted coffee beans. Caramel and light coconut take over and provide much needed relief. Bourbon soaked fruits on the back end along with some alcohol spice, very little alcohol heat though. First few sips, I thought this was approaching drain pour territory, tasted like raw coffee. But, the palate adjusted over 5 mins and now appreciates the richness and variety of the flavours. And, it's pretty darn drinkable for a beer that it stronger than 99% of the wines out there.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 04/08/24. Pitch black topped with a khaki head that thins to the edge. Nose is dark chocolate shavings, caramel, spice, coffee bean, molasses, roasted waftings. Taste comprises dark chocolate, toffee, coffee bean, vanilla, spice, roasted bite, burnt toffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy enough impy if running just a touch sweet for my liking.
