Ascension brewing co. began it's journey august of 2015. we are a small microbrewery specializing in locally brewed craft ales and food. the beer and food offerings are constantly rotating so come into the taproom to see what is available today!
Ascension Brewing Company's mission is to make freshest, most imaginative craft beer and food possible. We are committed to pushing the limits and producing exciting products that we are proud to share with You.
In our taproom, we believe using high quality, fresh ingredients in our food is the best way to enjoy our beer. Our staff are experts in making beer and food recommendations and pairings. They are knowledgeable and passionate about our beer, and aim to produce an outstanding customer experience with great attention to detail!
Outside the taproom, we are a group of compassionate, motivated, talented, and diverse individuals. Although we come from many walks of life, we all unite under Ascension's roof with the goal of elevating the craft beer scene, first in the greater Detroit region, then in our world
Medium sweet fruity and malty, getting the honey sweet malts, some citrus fruity notes coming in with some tangerine and grapefruit, medium to light body, touch bitter into the piney hoppy finish.

Pitch black colour with large fluffy beige head.Aroma of Marshmallow and cocoa even peanut butter and candy heavy sweet and lively with some carbonation and sweet finish.

From a shared can. Peanut butter in the aroma and more in the flavor. Lots of sugar but did not get much marshmallow.

500mL bottle, undated, drunk 10/25/24. Moderate gusher, though I poured it quickly and still got food clarity. Peachy-brass. Giant, white head. Nose shows lots of white pepper, some hints of banana and citrus. No big clove or bubble gum. Not exactly a Dupont/blaugies character, but far from a crude, American example. Malty, well-attenuated, though it feels like it may have been a bit sweet before this secondary refermentation (bottle was from warm shelf, too, and may have sat for a while). But all-in-all, lots of interesting grain, peppery, fruity yeast and a good texture.

Can. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has bitter pine and slightly dank onion with grass and a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor has dank onion and pine with some citrus rind and a bit of sweet grain backing.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and light pine with grass and melon supporting. Flavor has sweet onion and sweet grain with a bit of pine and grass underlying.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange with a peach hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a dank grass, sweet onion and tropical fruit combination. Flavor starts with dank tropical fruit, is joined my sweet onion and has grain backing.
