Beachwood Blendery is a small batch beer producer established in 2014 by the same creative minds behind the award winning Beachwood Brewing. Beachwood Blendery has embarked on an undoubtedly geeky quest to recreate the Lambic style beers of Belgium. Our beers are produced using ingredients, equipment, and brewing methods that are both steeped in tradition and admittedly modern.

500ml bottle at Josh's on his 20k party. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is funky, some horse blanket. Similar taste with some slight sulfur and fruity notes. Good one.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is loaded with pithy kumquats, citrus and barnyard funk. Flavour follows accordingly, with barnyard funk galore, followed by fragrant citrusy kumquats, and leather. Wonderful barnyard funk complexity here and excellent incorporation of the kumquats. Excellent.

Basically bright, light amber colour. Weak head. The aroma has some light citrus, little bit brett. Woody, bretty, with a light citrus character. Dry, with a nice tartness in the finish. Nice tart, woody, and lightly fruity.

Courtesy of BeerandBlues and poured up at O'Brien's' where it exhibits a near clear deep gold body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a big pulse of Brett and then saison spiciness followed by followed by a bit of apple and pear esters. The taste delivers subdued Brett flowing into spicy saison yeastiness and then mild appleto pear sweet fruity esters. It ends with a modest dryness. Pretty nice.

750mL bottle, at O'Brien's' and shared with BeerandBlues2, pours with a clear gold body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up muted wood, thin berry nuanced soured tartness and then acidic to thin vinegar tartness into the end of the draw. The taste delivers some refreshing puckering tartness leading into a moment of apple like fruitiness and then modest vinegar. Into the finish a wafer thin vanilla to spicy oak note joins the tartness to help create a pleasingly dry finish. Pretty dange solid sour with plenty of balance going on.

Bottle, 50cl corked. Quite a lot of strawberry hits the nose immediately after popping the cork. It's murky deep pinkish orange in the glass, with a minimal sized off-white head. Strawberry, lemon, vinegar, cellar hints and some hay in the aroma. Strawberry, some overripe strawberries, lemon and vinegar in the flavor. Hay, some peach and a touch of cellar. Leathery funk. It's tart and medium bodied with a bit heavy carbonation. Lasting fruity strawberry finish. Well... Not really fond of strawberry in beer, and even though this one isn't bad, I'm still convinced strawberries in beer should be avoided. 180303
