tap at the brewery (beer hunters please note: my notes are months old) - Pours hazy copper and has a mild hop aroma with just a touch of citrus. The flavor is obviously hop forward and there’s a little citrus. The malt is enough to hold it up, but there’s not a lot of character here. Good if average brew.

tap at the brewery (beer hunters please note: my notes are months old) - Pours copper colored with a nice citrus hop aroma. The flavor is aggressive, earthy hops with mild malt underlying it. It’s medium bodied with the expected lingering bitterness of the style.

tap at the brewery (beer hunters please note: my notes are months old) - Pours very dark brown with a chocolate malt aroma. It has a sweet flavor with ample chocolate malt present. It seems a little watery for a stout. It’s alright but I’m not impressed.

cask at the brewery, this version listed as 6.25% (beer hunters please note: my notes are months old) - Pours dark brown and has a light, roast malt aroma. The flavor is sweet roast malt and not much else going on there. It’s medium bodied and has minimal carbonation. Okay.

tap at the brewery (beer hunters please note: my notes are months old) - Pours hazy coper color with light carbonation. The aroma is mild Belgian yeast and hops. The flavor is definitely hops led with some citrus and a long, lingering bitterness. Whatever Brett is there is very subdued. Tasty.

On tap at HopCat. Poured deep gold with a thin white head, very pilsner like. Aroma had a touch of lemon with earthy notes as well as a grassy hops. Flavor began with a bit of ginger and developed an earthy grassy hop flavor with an undertone of bitter lemon. Beer went down surprisingly smooth.

On tap at Crunchy’s, East Lansing. Fiery orange-brown body, thin, clumping off-white head. Bright citrus nose with tannic, leafy hops, pine cones, and sweet berries. Fascinating blend of sour lemon, pineapple, and vinaigrette flavors with oak, and bitter, leafy hops. Excellent beer.
