Bottle. Pours almost pitch black, little bit of brown foam on top. Carbonation is quite limited, not flat but also not very lively. Nose is vinous, sweet liquorice and soy sauce. Sweetness also there, a bit lacto - but not that much. Smoke and ashes. These two are coming out even more in taste, ashy-smokey overall feel with this beer, some sweetness and well, relatively balanced and quite dry beer, drinks easier than it's 9.5% would suggest. Dry, ashy bitter finish. Really difficult to put my finger on something with this, some good elements but overall still leaves a lot to be improved. Divided on this one.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black. Not very carbonated, just a little bit beige foam there. Nose is surprisingly smokey and ashy, chocolate there, but mainly thick, dusty, leathery ash. Taste has more of it but also some berry sweetness, covered with smokey ashes and leather, some cocoa dust. Alcohol burn feels like chillies. Quite dry in a way, definitely enjoyable but maybe bit to burnt overall feel for me. Alcohol is well hidden though, nicely blended together. Overall, better than I thought it would be, not too great but decent..

Pours light mahogany, bit muddy, some beige foam. Nose has some intense paper cardboard acidity, sweet ripe figs (or is it just a sweet candy caramel). Too cloying and somewhat off-putting. Taste has more caramel, funnily dry and lots of half-bitter rowan berries there. Tannins. Actually not as terrible as I thought it would be, almost drinkable. But not really.

Bottle from Sip. Pours dark brown, not much of carbonation. Nose quite sugary/caramelly, burnt sugar and some rye spices. Somewhat card-board feeling to it as well. Taste has some Belgian yeast/mouthfeel character - bit smokey but overall not that exciting at all. Sweet and not really my thin.

Bottled 330ml (from Tallinn)
Opaque color with brownish head. Toasted, sweet chocolate aroma with hints of smoke and also some tart notes which vanish when beer warms up. Medium-bodied. Sweet, chocolaty flavor. Some vegetables lurking. No sign of 10%. Simple.

Bottle, batch 01.08.2017 (from Koht). Pours amber with whiteish head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is rather unpleasant and messy with some fruits, apples, malt. Flavor is sweet, some bitterness, caramel, fruits, malt, yeast, some vegetables, more messiness. Drinkability is non-existant and in the drain pour level. Sweetness manages to cover some of the messiness. Overall: this is bad. If someone gave me free bottle, I wouldn’t drink it..

Tap in Pudel. Black colour, decent head. Aroma is dried fruit: raisins, dates, figs. Also some dark rye bread and pleasant alcohol. Light sweetness, not bitter. Medium body, not too heavy, pleasant lively carbonation. Really not Belgian? This is a first-class dubbel!

On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Clear deep amber with a modest off-white head. Malty and caramelly aroma with fruity notes, hints of raisins and citrus. Sweet, malty and not very balanced, muld flavour and a fairly light bitterness. Fair enough.
