Tap at Gremlin. Very nice smoked nose with bacon and honey cured ham standing out alongside some nice caramel notes. Light on the palate with more of a honey and toffee forward flavor. Light smoke and umami on the finish surrounded by sweetness. Nice Scottish ale that really punches up for the abv. --- Beer merged from original tick of 70/- Scottish Heavy on 08 Jul 2016 at 20:10 - Score: 7. Original review text: Bacon, smoke, caramel. Nice amd light but complex.

Tap at Watering Hole (4th Anniversary). Dark copper, bit hazy, not much foam. Aroma is nutty sweet. It’s a bock for sure but a pretty nice one. Trippelbock. Taste brings out some sweet dried fruits and candy sugar. Long bittersweet finish. Enjoyed it.

750 ml bottle shared at a tasting. Thanks Uly! Big caramel and chocolate notes that just go on endlessly. Literally liquid toffee. Sweet on the palate and the abv is hidden so well. Smooth and rich and full-bodied but still drinkable. Very good for the style. A dessert beer that would slay with vanilla ice cream. --- Beer merged from original tick of Second Anniversary (Wee Heavy) (弐周年) (2014) on 31 May 2016 at 20:34 - Score: 7. Keyaki 2016. One of the highlights at Spring Keyaki for me. Nice rich and chocolate brownie forward nose with roasted malt, coffee and black cherry. Good yeast notes as well. Pretty easy drinking for the abv and so complex. More dark fruit and umami notes as it warms. Probably one of the best locobeer brews and again a Keyaki highlight. Wonderful! --- Beer merged from original tick of Heihachirou (平八郎) on 15 May 2016 at 14:17 - Score: 7

Tap at Watering Hole. Pours a mostly clear copper with almost no head. Light herbal and clove driven aromas. Low carbonation with a medium body. ABV is well hidden. Lots of caramel and sweet malt. Not my kind of beer and feels more like a Belgian strong ale, but pretty unique in Japan I have to say. Interested to see how different the bottle is as well. --- Beer merged from original tick of Super Saison (Saison de Noël) on 11 May 2016 at 19:30 - Score: 6. Original review text: Light herbal and clove notes. Light Amber color. Hides abv well. Low carb. Caramel sweetness. Meh.

Pinks boot Gose 4.5% Gold color with a floral coriander aroma. The taste is a bit salty and soft sourness. Pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Watering Hole. Light grain aromas with some mineral notes on the nose. Great spritzy carbonation on the palate, light bodied and dry on the palate. Absolutely not a drop of tartness or salt. Not really a gose, but a nice refreshing seltzer water. --- Beer merged from original tick of Pink Boots Gose on 18 Apr 2016 at 19:11 - Score: 6. Original review text: Not tart, no salt. Good carbonation and dry though. Like a nice seltzer water.

Tap at Gremlin. Caramel malt bomb on the nose. Thin bodied but easy drinking. Malt, malt, malt. Malty finish. Not my cup of tea. --- Beer merged from original tick of Red Shamrock on 06 Mar 2016 at 00:06 - Score: 5

Tap at Qbrick. Aged more than 1 year. Very fruity nose, cherry, apple, somewhat tart, with chocolate and caramel. Pretty amber-orange color, clear, with a thick, fine head. Huge chocolate malt flavor, fudge, toffee, very fruity, estery. Lovely malt, a bit boozy, though, and this definitely feels like it was fermented at ale temperatures. Smooth, silky body. Good, but almost more like a Belgian strong ale.
