Tap at Unterländer Biertage 2016. Aroma of smoked malts: Sausage, mostly. Smoke is less present in the mouth, body gains sweetness and some bitterness. Little carbonation. Short and watery palate. Okay.

Tap at Unterländer Biertage 2016. Very malt-forward, but not in a typical Doppelbock sense. The Alt still shines through, and it makes it weird. Body is medium, sweet and only a little bitter. Fruits, caramel. Soft carbonation. But nearly as round or smooth or sweet or intense as a good Doppelbock, though.

Bottle at Monday Club Zurich. Roasty throughout but mostly on the palate. Definitely on the bitter side. Coffee. Surprisingly light for such an aroma and ABV, very nice. Slightly off balance on the finish, but not off-putting.

Bottle at Monday Club Zurich. A thick and full lager, sweet and dense. A bit buttery as well, some dust. Oily. A decent lager for sure, but too sweet and greasy.

Süßlicher, hell malziger Antrunk. Herb, die Malzigkeit steigt leicht. Zum Ende wird sie dunkler, das Bier wird zudem etwas hopfig. 10/10/10/10/9/10
