Description
Takatalo & Tompuri Brewery is located in the heart of the picturesque Finnish countryside in Virolahti—just 165 kilometers from Helsinki. We combine ancient farming techniques with the most modern brewery technologies in a unique way.

We grow malting barley and oat on our own fields, source the water from own well, and smoke the malt in our brewery to ensure the high quality of each bottle of our award-winning beers. Our beer is truly sustainable and locally produced. We grow beer!

The name of our beer, Kaski, derives from the traditional Finnish agricultural method of creating fields for crops and fertile soil by slashing and burning plots of forestland. With respect to our forefathers’ and foremothers’ hard work, we proudly call our beer Kaski.

Tap at Gallow’s Bird, Espoo. Originally rated 20161220. Colour is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, dryness and malts. Dry pils but flavours are weak. Just don’t get text "double hop" on tap label because this one isnt really hopped. Relatively clean.

Aroma has butter, some very mild sourness and hints of milk. Also licorice. Flavour has coffee, licorice, some milky tones and mild butter. Roastiness is quite mild here. And so is quite everything else. This has some odd pils vibes.
