Description
Demory was founded in 1827, in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, at 10 rue Broca. Demory ceased to exist in the early 1950s. Demory Paris reopened its brewery in 2009! A small team of beer enthusiasts took over. In 2010, their first beer was brewed. Today the brasserie is no longer in the 5th arrondissement, but in Bobigny, at 1 rue de Paris.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy yellow colour with a big and soapy, off-white head. Aroma with lots of sweet fruit and banana, hay and spices. Less fruity flavour with more straw and wheat. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. Decent hefeweizen, nothing more or less.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear and dark straw colour with a medium and off-white head. Sweet corn in the aroma along with hay, pale malt and some citrus. The flavour is similar and is a little dry in the end. Slick mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness that lasts. An okay bu thin pilsener that is fairly more bitter than usual.

330ml bottle, Vinmonopolet bestillingsutvalget. Clear, yellow-gold body. Frothy white head, some of it remaining all the way. Fragile lacing down the glassware. Fresh, pale malty nose. Taste of grain and grass leading to a subdued cardboard dry ending. Mid-sweet. Oily palate. Easy going. So-so (tromsø, 27.07.2013).

Big white head. Clear yellow body with strong carbonation. Mealy wheaty banana aroma with oily papery notes. Dry-sweet papery wheaty banana taste with peppery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish spicy papery honey aftertaste with wheaty milky banana notes. Interesting. It’s not bad at all. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, web order.)

Bottle. A big, white head sits on top of an unclear, yellow-golden body. Rather malty nose, with a citrus touch. As cardboardy as the pils, low on bitterness, and with flavors of pale malt, lime and lemon and a faint touch of spices. Medium body, decent carbonation. Boring, that’s for sure. 130719

Bottle. Almost clear, golden in colour and topped by a small, dense white head. Lightly metallic in the aroma, with flowers, grass, some hay and a touch of pale malts and wet cardboard. The flavor is equally boring, less metallic, with some bitterness, but generally boring. Medium body, low but pleasant carbonation. Short finish. Not bad, but not a beer I’ll repeat. 130719
