(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Amber colour with disappearing, frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with dark bread, ryvita, brown sugar and hints of buttery malt. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of brown bread, toasty malt, dried fruit (raisins, prunes), brown sugar and hints of butter. Medium body, fairly sweet, with low bitterness. Decent, but not really exciting.

swing-top bottle, courtesy of FatPhil - thanks a lot! Clear eggyolk-yellow colour, small white head. Sourish-yeasty-fruity aroma with a wild character, reminding me of gueuze. Light- to medium-bodied, grainy-biscuity malty base with lots of barnyard flavours and fruity hints. Shy hoppy flavours are detectable. This beer has a rather wild character, it’s unlike any other pale lager I have tasted. Fruity flavours go well with barnyard and the biscuit-like maltiness. The carbonation is just per5fect, smooth and fine. An interesting, very unusual and very delicious beer.

Bottled, thanks SaintMatty! Clear dark amber, small head. Buttery nose. Sugary cellar flavour. Sweet with medium body, notes of perfumy apples, aging butter and stale dust. More of a sweet dunkel than a Baltic porter, but so it is in the Baltic countries.

(Bottle, 1 litre, thanks SaintMatty) Due to my mistake I’m drinking this after the best before date has already passed. Beer is dark brown and its head was small, white and fizzy. Aroma was quite sweet with mild roastedness and bit of carboard. Beer had turned a bit dry and perhaps lost some of its carbonation. Body was medium. Flavours were dominated by sweetness and caramell. Bitterness was almost non-existent. There is some potential was better beer but all is drowned by the excessive sweetness. Drinking the whole bottle would be too much..

(Bottle, 1 litre - thanks SaintMatty) This was close to its best before date. Opening the cork resulted only in small hiss. Colur was deep golden and no head was formed. Aroma perhaps had suffered while the bottle had been waiting for to be drunk. There was clear carboard and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were quite typical to European Strong Lager: sweetness, malts, carboard and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was just sweet. Drinkability was quite good and the sweetness wasn’t too intense. But this didn’t please me.
