Bottle shared at home with Gabor Gábor. Black pour, quickly dissipating off-white head. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, light coffee and booze. Taste is booze and chocolate, coffee and roasted malts, the barrel aging is apparent but not at all in-your-face. Closes with a sweet, boozy chocolatey coffee finish, has a light (perhaps too light) body and soft carbonation. Nice, but with a bigger body it could be even better.

Bottle shared, koszi Petra! Murky ruby pour with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is blackberry, that classic fermented pineapple character and yoghurt. Taste is tart, lactic and fruity upfront with a vague yoghurt touch and a rather salty finish. Light bodied with soft to average carbonation.

Bottle at home. Pours semi opaque golden with white head. Nose is apricot, candy, light pine, citruses. Taste is also stone fruits, candy, citrus zest. Starts out sweetish but the finish is kinda empty and becomes excessively sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbo. Got a feeling that it's been centrifuged that screwed up the beer here and there. Still not terrible tho.

Can at home, courtesy of Petra, koszi! Pours hazy, somewhat orangeish golden with a thin head. Nose is spicy, slightly fruity and herbal, grassy and resinous hops. Taste is sweetish upfront, showing spicy, earthy, herbal and resinous hops and some vague bitterness in the end. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Ekuanot is not my fav variety and this is brimming with notes of it, so do the math.

Bottle shared at home. Pours an orangeish copper with a quickly dissipating head. Nose is caramel and booze. Taste is candi sugar, caramel and booze. Closes with a long lasting, warming boozy finish, the body is light to medium on this. B O O Z Y

Bottle at home, courtesy of Petra I guess. Pours deep deep brown, almost black with no head. Nose is dried fruits, molasses, nuts and chocolate. Pleasant, but not quite intense. Taste is chocolate, nuts, bread, dried fruits and molasses. Sweetish, but the finish is mildly astrigent too. Medium to full bodied, it has a soft carbonation. Not bad, but not quite sophisticated either.

Bottle at home, koszi Petra! Deep brown, almost black pour with a beige head. Nose is chocolate, cinnamon, light booze, coffee and tonka. The first few sips showed an enormous amount of carbonation, sparkling and spiky, quite out of character for the style. With time it settles down tho and it’s much more pleasant from that point on. It shows lots of chocolate, nuts, cinnamon and almond notes of the tonka and coffee. Closes with a chocolatey finish that’s slightly dry, it has a medium body. If it wasn’t for the post fermentation in the bottle it could’ve been a great beer.

Bottle at home, cellared this one for over 2 years. Hasonloan mas Black Barrel tetelekhez, a hordozas itt is nagyon szep, letisztult, dominans, de az alap sor tul vekony ahhoz, hogy elvigye a hatan az egeszet. Soha rosszabbat, de van meg feljebb.
