Bottle shared by Sean! Poured a near clear gold with a white head that dissipated slowly. Aroma was sweet with notes of wheat, floral and a bit of cleaning supply citrus. Flavor was sweet wheat with just a hint of citrus and floral, a bit one note.

Nice amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thin off-white head. Aroma of fresh hops and caramel with a good malt backbone. Medium-bodied; Rich hop flavours of grass and perfume come through the most with a good malt backbone, a touch of caramel. Aftertaste has a relative hop bitterness with some good sweet flavours. Overall, a good IPA - definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 06-June-2008.

On tap at MBC Lansing. Deep translucent red body, medium tight buff head. Sweet nose with brown sugar, berries, toast, and alcohol. Aggressive body dominated by hot alcohol and sweet candy, with notes of brown sugar, caramel, and berries. Hot, dry, and a bit medicinal, with none of the flabby citrus/pine hops or oxidized caramels that I have come to dread in barleywines.

Enjoyed a bottle of this in honor of Rich Rodriguez and his amazing first year at Michigan. The beer pours a clear pale yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Spotty lacing on the glass. Mildly grainy malt aroma with a touch of hops. Light body with flavors of sweet malt and lightly bitter grassy hops. The finish is short with corn and malt aftertaste. Below average overall.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt with a little chocolate showing up. Flavor is a little weaker. A little roast is going on but noting to carry this one. Average at best.

Pour is an orange with a small white head. Aroma is slight citrus hops that let you know there are there. Flavor is lots of citrus hop with a nice earthy malt backbone. A decent APA and quite sessionable.

Black with a large tan head. Coffee, roasted malts, some molasses, with light cocoa. Body is a little over carbonated. Flavor is roasted, light coffee, a little molasses, some cocoa. Dry, chalky finish. Not a bad brew, but kinda boring and something does seem a little off. It’s OK, though.
