Cask at White Horse, London. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, wood, grainy, floral and a touch of honey. It taste is wood, earth, moderate bitterness, floral, touch of spice, grapefruit rind, lemon, caramel and honey with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Good balance and decent bitterness. Not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Salamander, Bath 7/6/2013. Another of Bath’s ’Beer’d’ specials. Dark brown with next to no head. Sweet, caramel and berry fruits aroma with a whiff of smoke. Flavour had some more sweetness, toasted malts and a gentle finish. Good.
