About
We are a small family run micro-brewery with a 6 barrel plant in Darwen.

Barry Tyson built a Brewery in his garage in 2004, when workload got too much his daughter Natalie took over in 2008 and she now runs the business with her husband Tom. In 2010 the main brewing started at the new 10 Barrel plant.

Cask at the Bow bar, winter beer festival 2016. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head, nice lacing. Aromas of meaty smoke, faint charcoal, light stone fruit. Taste is more of the same, ashy finish.

Half pint, cask, served in a mug at Wm Hawkes. A lasting white head leaving dotted spots on the glass. Dark golden body, next to clear. Mild smell of dried fruits. Fresh and dried fruity taste followed by a rounded mid-sweet fruity ending. Rather thin bodied. Average stuff (shared with Finn, Hull 26.11.2015).

Hazy blond colour. Elements of apple cores and wood. Plentiful in pale malts but lacking somewhat in hop bitterness.

Cask @ The Baum, Rochdale. Extremely dark red, but not black with a creamy head. Has some light roasted malts in its aroma and taste with an infusion of nut in the latter aspect. Slightly dry tasting and medium bodied.
