We are a small family run micro-brewery with a 6 barrel plant in Darwen.

Barry Tyson built a Brewery in his garage in 2004, when workload got too much his daughter Natalie took over in 2008 and she now runs the business with her husband Tom. In 2010 the main brewing started at the new 10 Barrel plant.

Bottle: Nose is almond, biscuit slight berry. Flat appearance. Taste is almond, biscuit, with a little berry. A slight bitterness in the finish, tastes are like the body; flat. A forgettable bitter.

Wenlock Arms. Very slightly hazy gold beer. Semi dry palate. Fresh fruity hops, not too bitter. Orange and peach. Finishes a little over dry.

Cask, 3.8%. Good fruity aroma, a little berry. Almost clear golden colour. Small creamy white head. The flavour is also fruity, has a good creaminess. Light mouthfeel, I would not call it a winter beer.

Cask. An amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of malt combined with a lighter note of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, as well as a light note of butter.

Cask. A golden beer with no head. The aroma has notes of hops and malt as well as a touch of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and butter, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Cask at NWAF, 2011. Black pour with a beige head. Pure caramel action in the nose with a splash of toffee, butterscotch and a little vanilla. Flavours of vanilla, caramel, light herbs, malts and toffee. Sweet, malty finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Smithfield Hotel, 37 Swan St, Manchester, Greater Manchester England M4 5JZ.Clear medium yellow amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light toasted - caramel, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, fruity, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to light lgiht heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, mold - damp stainded notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100122]
