Cask at the White Swan,Solihull. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light malt hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a malty hop bitter light mint palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A really refreshing session ale.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Pale golden orange with a moderate white covering. Nose is earthy hops, orange peel, citric zing, lemon sherbet, bread dough. Taste comprises orange pith, citric sherbets, mineral bite, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the close. Ok APA.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a small, white head. Pretty grassy, resiny aroma with grapefruit peel and a malty touch. The flavor has pale malts as a backdrop for the bitterness, grass and grapefruit. Full body, nice carbonation and pretty dry. Lasting bitter finish with a hint of metal. Overall, sure a nice one, although a bit one dimensional. Easy drinkable too. 140228

Fra cask på Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham 27 Jan 14. Svart. Lavt, svakt farget tett skum som varer en stund. Gardinlacing. Veldig forsiktig kaffearoma. Smaken litt tynn. Hint av oppvaskvann & kaffe. Svakt tørr i ettersmaken. Blir hverken fugl eller fisk.

Hand-pulled pint in The George Hotel (a Spoons) Bewdley on 22nd Feb 2014. Good deep amber body with a full and lasting white crown. Looks like a malty brew but it has a hop lead in both the aroma and taste: dry feel to the mouth with nutty and woody notes within the flavour. I really enjoyed this and would have had another pint but I was on a mission and needed to try something else before hitting the town’s brewery and more pubs.
