Poured from a 500ml bottle. Aroma is cheap cinammon, vanilla extract and some light maple notes. Moderate chocolate and roast. Some anise and weird phenolics. Some light lactose note. Pours jet black with a medium sized, thick, light mocha head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderately strong cinnamon notes. Quite a big of roast with some lighter dark chocolate notes. Fairly bitter and slightly astringent. Light vanilla and pretty much zero maple. A light phenolic, spicy, anise note. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Medium low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I’m not impressed by this beer. So much cheap cinnamon and roasted malt character. Dry, thin and slightly astringent. It’s a miracle I am finishing this glass.

Sample at Grandview Digfest on 06/11/2016. The beer is a clear golden-bronze color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine, green onion and earthy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Refrigerated 16 oz. aluminum can poured into snifter. Aroma is nice herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is herbal hops and fruits (mostly peach).

On draught at the Hoof Hearted Brewpub and Kitchen. The beer is a slightly hazy straw color with a medium thick white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal yeast, fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, grassy hops and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a floral yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Can. The beer is a deep but bright magenta-pink color. Very small white head, pretty fizzy. The liquid is slightly cloudy. The aroma has a nice amount of hibiscus. Somewhat juicy. It’s just a bit bland otherwise. Not much spcie to be found. Mild yogurt flavor. Some malt in the mix. Pretty strong butter note at first, but that went away after a minute or so. Taste is similar. It’s nice enough. Moderate amount of fruity hibiscus flavor. Mild yogurty sourness. It’s refreshing, just not exciting. A bit more body to it than I’d like. The beer has a bit too much body and sweetness for me. It’s not bad, but it just doesn’t have the bold flavors that I expect from Hoof Hearted.

Bottle. The beer looks very cloudy and almost heavy with haze. The color is a deep yellow with a little tan to it. Medium sized white head. Good lacing. The aroma is nearly pure pineapple-mango juice. There’s some tangerine in there and maybe a little grape, but this is just juicy juice. The mango does take a back seat to the fruity hops, but it does provide a little nuance and extra sweetness of aroma. Taste has mild to moderate bitterness, kinda depends on how much sediment you get - doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Lots of fruit flavor comes through in the taste. Moderate sweetness from a simple pale malt base. Medium-light body. Drinks way, way too easily for 9% abv. Quite refreshing. Really good stuff.

Can thanks to Andrew. Pours a hazy yellow with medium frothy white head that leaves sticky lacing. The aroma is strong peppercorn, bubblegum, yeast. Medium mouth, yeast, spice, pepper, light finish, good.
